“Awful. The places themselves were good. You don’t need to use this company. The commentary was terrible. Sounded like an AI bot. No pronunciation and no time to move. Also, the guide didn’t take account of current ongoing works (although it did highlight past works - strange!). Worst still, in the vague small print, it says that you can’t book a ticket via the company for a discount eg child, ticket. When I arrived at each Agora they informed me my 16yo child should have been free. Therefore, I only needed one ticket. When I enquired of Clio to rectify the price I paid (2 adults) they wouldn’t budge on…”

“Alexander was terrific. Really patient as my 14yo nephew and I learned the ropes. The tour on our first day in Athens was perfect for helping us get the lay of the land. We got off a few times to check out some ruins too. He even took us to a wide open area at the end of the tour where my nephew could really burn off some energy practising his new skills on the Segway. Our guide really made this a terrific afternoon.”

After a short snack break, walk to the Ancient Agora and Attalos Museum. Guides including Vasaliki, Tina, and Sissy have earned praise for clear explanations and a relaxed pace.

“Excellent guided tour. Well organized. Our guide Vasaliki was very good. She provided lots of helpful and interesting information about the Acropolis and the the temples there including of course the Parthenon. She was friendly and fun. She would stop in the shade to talk to us about what we were seeing. Also the lace of the walking was good so even though I am an older person with some knee issues, and the Acropolis does require walking up inclines and steps to reach the top with the temples, it was not a struggle. At the end of the tour we asked her for restaurant recommendations and did eat at…”
